Welcome to Brooklyn Baby Stores.
With an artistic community, lower rents and housing prices (though not by much), and trees and brownstone clad streets idyllic for young families, in the last decade, Brooklyn has really emerged as an originator of hip, unique, independent NYC baby stores, Brooklyn baby clothing stores in particular.
We are proud to offer a guide to Brooklyn baby stores by category below:
Brooklyn Baby Superstores
Cookies Department Stores - (718) 797-3300 - 510 FULTON STREET (FULTON MALL), (718) 287-2300 - 982 FLATBUSH AVENUE (CORNER ALBERMARLE RD), (718) 797-3300 - 265 LIVINGSTON STREET (BOND & HANOVER)
This low price option for baby clothes, supplies and even furniture makes it a well known destination center for Brooklynites with kids who like a good bargain. With three locations in Brooklyn, and a large selection of both branded and "off-brand" items, you can always swing by and find something for your little one. For parents of older kids in private school, Cookies has a selection of school uniforms for discounted prices.
Brooklyn Baby World - (718) 331-9498 - 7302 15TH AVENUE, BROOKLYN NY
This Brooklyn baby superstore has almost everything you could think of in terms of necessities for all your little one's needs. From Pack N Plays to Carseats, to Strollers, and Nursery furniture, they have it all under one roof. Brooklyn Baby World also carries baby monitors, bottles, nursing pumps, baby food and more. They also have an e-commerce site online with free shipping on all orders over $100. Their store hours are Sunday 11-5, Tuesday-Friday from 10-7, and Saturday from 9-6. They are closed on Mondays.
Flying Squirrel - (718) 218-7775 - 96 N 6TH ST., BROOKLYN (WILLIAMSBURG)
Not to categorize Flying Squirrell as a baby superstore by any means, this gem of a store carries necessities for infants, toys, clothing, books and features items by local designers, artists, and independent manufacturers. So it's a lovely alternative. They also carry assortments from the standard big players. The best part is that many of the items are "nearly new", i.e., second-hand. There is a playroom in the store for little ones to feel more comfortable while mom and dad browse. Whenever possible, Flying Squirrel tries to avoid hefty price tags for items they carry so you save money while feeling better about re-using hefty plastic items like exersaucers. This shop is really open to the local community of families and strives to be a neighborhood hang-out to relax and exchange ideas. For all these qualities, we give Flying Squirrel our heart of approval.
Babies R Us - (718) 277-3400 - 395 Gateway Drive (Gateway Shopping Center) / (718) 714-6400 - 8973-95 Bay Parkway, Brooklyn, NY
Two locations in Brooklyn serve this borough's parents and their growing babies. Filled with all newborn essentials, strollers, highchairs, exersaucers, carseats, diapers, formula, nursery furniture, cribs, bedding and developmental toys. But Brooklynites a short ride from Manhattan may find it easier to head over the bridge and take advantage of Buy Buy Baby in Chelsea.
