While pricey for most furniture selections - the cribs run towards the high hundreds - $1,000, Pottery Barn Kids is a wonderful option for West Seattle parents who have limited time, some money to spare, and want to create a great room for their baby to be, toddler or tween.  The crib styles have always been more traditional, but Pottery Barn Kids has started to carry a few modern lines for urban parents and their city babies.  Gliders have a wide array of patterns to customize from and the customer service is great overall, though you may need to wait a while in-store to get a sales clerks attention during busy hours.

This lovely alternative to Pottery Barn Kids houses a charming assortment of cribs and nursery furniture and eclectic toys and room decor.  From gorgeous bassinets complete with bedding, to giraffe baby teethers, muslin swaddling blankets, adorable sleep sacks and even trumpette socks, Land of Nod keeps Seattle parents pleased with its assortment and knowledgeable and helpful staff.  This University District location is convenient for most families on Seattle's East Side.

This super hip Seattle baby boutique is located in the eclectic neighborhood of South Lake Union and features cool, urban products from stylish designers.  They sell Boon high chairs here and really cool wall decals, mobiles, and of course urban strollers.   Phil & Teds and UPPAbaby are some of Seattle parents' favorites for street strolling.  Tottini also sells Green to Grow bottles which are not only a safe but sophisticated bet for your baby.  And if you are in the market for some rocker lullabies, Tottini carries Rockabye Baby CDs for putting your baby to sleep while listening to Coldplay.

If you really need a good deal on a crib, changing table and armoire Bedrooms and More is a great place to check out.  They also carry crib mattresses in either Natura Latex or Organic Latex.  Bedrooms and More has Atlantic Furniture baby cribs which are produced with Eco-friendly hardwood with a five step finishing process so you can be sure your baby will be safe and protected.     



Babies R Us - (425) 453-1901 - 103 110th Ave NE Bellevue, WA 98004 - Bellevue


This Babies R Us in Bellevue just off the 405 carries all of your basic essentials.  From Carters onesies to sleepwear, baby food, formula, diapers, bassinets, pack n plays, carseats and strollers.  There is almost always a sale and if you join their frequent customers program you can receive 20% off coupons in the mail to use in-store.  You will not find too many eclectic, or hip choices here, but they do have organic baby food, wipes and diapers so if you need to buy your basics, you can swing by before or after work and stock up.  




Burlington Coat Factory & Baby Depot - (425) 776-2221 - 24111 Highway 99 Edmonds, WA 98026

This baby depot in Edmonds is hit or miss, but if you hit, you can find an astounding assortment of baby clothes (designer), and solid brand names for baby gear at bargain prices.  From swings to high chairs and bouncer seats, cribs, rockers and more, Burlington has great deals to be had.  The distance might make it tough to just pop in for a look-see, but if you are in the area, it's worth a pit stop. 






Target - (206) 494-0897 - 302 NE Northgate Way Seattle, WA 98125 - Northgate


Many Seattle moms choose Target as their quick and easy baby goods destination.  For the greatest selection of baby developmental toys, diapers, formula, baby food including yummy Baby Mum Mums and freeze dried organic yogurt treats, Target has expanded its baby section in recent years and delivers across all fronts.  The clothes and layettes are bright, diverse and plentiful.  The car seat selection is a guided tour through the different stages so you can find exactly what you are looking for.  The staff is helpful and courteous making for a pleasant shopping experience.   Note there is another great Target stock full of baby goods in child and dog friendly Redmond.

This great little baby boutique, not far from University Village is upscale and offers a nice selection of specialty baby items and designer brands.  They carry the Bugaboo line of strollers and eclectic baby toys and gear.  There is also a trendy array of diaper bags for hip urban Seattle moms.  Bibs are also stylish and sophisticated.  You won't find absolutely everything you need at The Right Start, but you will find plenty of things you want. 






Baby & Family Boutique - (425) 899-3603 - 12040 NE 128th St Kirkland, WA 98034 - Kirkland


This baby store, conveniently located at Evergreen Hospital makes it an ideal stopping point before you are discharged with your newborn.  Experts in lactation will help you select the breast pump that best suits your needs.  You can also rent a Medela Pump and buy replacement parts if you are borrowing one from a friend.  They also feature breastfeeding supplies such as breast pads, breast milk storage bags, footstools, nursing pillows and breast creams.  Nursing bras and tops that allow for breastfeeding are also available.  This gem of a store is a godsend to new moms who give birth at Evergreen.
